Huallata Kunca – Palccoyo Checacupe – Stone Forest
Huallata Kunca – Palccoyo Checacupe – Bosque de Piedras Full Day
The Rainbow Mountain Cusco- Perú, also known as Vinicunca, this is the most popular one-day hike that we offer. During the Rainbow Mountain tour you can see the Apu Ausangate mountain (6,385 m / 20,945 ft), which is considered a holy mountain (or mountain spirit). Since pre-Inca times the mountain has been a place of worship and offerings and this tradition continues today. You will also see incredible views of the valleys and a lot of mountains of the Vilcanota mountain range that is part of the chain of the Andes, the world’s largest chain which is in South America. This is a spectacular trip for trekkers who love a true outdoor adventure. This seriously challenging hike, about 2000 meters upwards, offers miraculous views, during the trek upwards and especially when we arrive at the top. It is a tough day, but it is definitely worth it, therefore the Rainbow Mountain hike is especially suitable for travelers who dare to take a challenge and who want to have an unforgettable one-day experience.
