Day 1: Lima

We will pick you up in private transport, Arrival Lima and you will be transferred to you hotel to rest and relax.

Day 2: Full day Cooking Class & Pachacamac

You will learn cooking techniques with a local cook, The menú is fixed – we’ll use the ingredients learned on our morning market visit – the class will start with this sculptural potato salad called Causa. Two layers of chilled, smashed yellow potatoes surround a filling — in many cases, vegetables, seafood or chicken. Then we’ll prepare Classic ceviche, made with catch of the day, red onions -hot peppers and served with sweet potato and Andean corn. Also learn the steps behind making Peru’s national drink, the Pisco sour.

After the delicious lunch we continue to the spectacular centre arqueological Pachcamac, We take the South Pan American Highway, to arrive at Pachacamac, the most important ceremonial center of the coast of Peru in pre-Hispanic times. Here we can appreciate its many buildings made of clay dating from different centuries. Over time, Pachacamac was occupied by different cultures such as Lima Culture, Wari Culture, la Cultura drink, to the Inca Empire (XV century); Nonetheless, always he maintained his prestige as a religious center. Among the buildings that stand visit: Temple of the sun, Old Temple of Pachacamac), Painted or the New Temple, Pyramid with ramp.

Day 3 Lima/ Ica

Early in the moorning we will transferred by private vehicle in time for your bus station to Ica Upon arrival you will be collected and taken to your hotel by private vehicle.
In the afternoon enjoys a dry, sunny climate year-round and is known for its huge sand dunes. Located around the nearby oasis of Huacachina, the dunes are perfect subjects for photography and for a favourite local past time: sandboarding. Apart from the dunes, Ica is famous for its wines and there are several wineries and distilleries in the área.

Day 4: Ica /Nazca/ Arequipa

Early in the moorning we take a Bus from Ica to Nazca, at 11 we enjoy a thrilling 35 minute flight over the Nazca Lines, offering a spectacular opportunity to see 12 of the most famous Nazca Lines, including the hummingbird, dog, hands, astronaut, tree, spider, whale, lizard, shark and more.
You will be transported to Maria Reiche Airport, about 10 minutes away from downtown Nazca. At the airport, we will assist you with the check-in procedure, such as paying your airport tax, going through security, and being weighed. Then you can watch a brief documentary on the discovery of the Nazca Lines. Then we will assist you in getting into your Cessna 206 airplane. After, board a night bus to Arequipa.

Día 5: Arequipa

Free in the moorning and at 1pm you will visit a great Museum Momia Juanita and Monasterio de Santa Catalina..

Day 6: Arequipa/Cotahuasi Canyon

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa between 04:30 to 05:00 a.m. to board our transport and move to the deepest canyon in the world “COTAHUASI” on our route we will make the following stops: Valle de Majes, for a 45-minute walk to the Petroglyphs of Toro Muerto where we will observe stones engraved with geometric and anthropomorphic figures; Chuquibamba, to have lunch and appreciate the viewpoint of the Valley of Volcanoes, where we will observe more than 10 volcanoes. The Pallarcocha Lagoon, located at 4850 masl, where we will see the Nevado de Coropuna, Solimana, Coropuna among others. Mirador de Alhuay, where we will appreciate the Cotahuasi Valley.

17:30 hrs Arrival to the town of Cotahuasi. Accommodation, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Arequipa/ Catarata de SIPIA – COTAHUASI / Puno

After the breakfast, we take our transport and go towards the Sipia Waterfall, located in the Cotahuasi Canyon, with a fall of 150 meters, admiring its three water levels and its spectacular rainbow. (20 minutes walk), Then we move to the town of Tomepampa, to have lunch. After lunch, in the afternoon we will go to the town of Alca. From where you start the walk to Cahuana (approx 1 hour-optional) to appreciate the Cotahuasi Canyon, then return to the city of Arequipa, arriving around 20:00 hrs.
22:00h, board a night bus to Puno.

Day 8: Puno / Bolivia –La Paz

Early in the morning you will be picked up from terminal terrestre then transferred to the harbor. We start off our boat excursion of Lake Titicaca by visiting “The Uros Floating Islands”, a small community that has lived on these reed Islands for decades. After strolling around the floating Islands, At the top of the Island, you will have free time to explore this place on your own and afterwards you will to take our boat back to Puno at 1:00 pm approximately.
After, we take the bus from Puno to Bolivia arriving 7:00pm

Day 9: Bolivia La Paz/ Salar de Uyuni

Early in the morning flight to La Paz to Salar de Uyuni, also has a small airport. If you want to save time, and avoid the twisty, turning Bolivian roads, the flights from La Paz to Uyuni are only about an hour.

Today we will enjoy the biggest salt flats in the world: Uyuni Salt Flats.
11:00 AM – We will get started (utilizing a 4×4 Jeep Land Cruiser) on our adventure where we will visit the following touristic attractions:

Train Graveyard – Where we will observe very antique trains and locomotives that date back to the end of the 19th Century; the majority of the trains made their routes with wagons that carried minerals – but, they only lasted for so much time. These trains were part of an industrial past, but now they that have been naturally transitioned into a wonderful, but mysterious tourist attraction.
The Village of Colchani – Located on the outskirts of the Uyuni Salt Flats, the village of Colchani is the principal means of entrance to the Salt Flats where we will observe the activity of salt extraction in an artisanal form; the villagers will show us the extraction process which includes the drying, shaping, and bagging of salt for sale, and this process is now dedicated to the making of artisanal pieces which are made of different salt molds and textiles; on the way we will pass by “Ojos de Sal” which are different colorful eruptions of salt within the Salt Flats that are often filled with water, giving them their peculiar colors.
Salt Hotel – Located in the heart of the salt flats, this famous hotel is entirely made of blocks of salt; literally – from the inside and out – the walls, the floor, the beds, the tables, the chairs – everything is adorned in salt. The hotel hasn’t functioned as a hotel for a multitude of years, but it is definitely a wonderful museum to visit.
Incahuasi Island, Located likewise in the middle of the Salt Flats, Incahuasi Island is a rocky formation in which is found a multitude of gigantic cacti with altitudes topping more than 10 meters; from the top of the island, the entire Salt Flats can be seen – a beautiful sight.
After visiting Incahuasi Island, we will have lunch and then continue to enjoy the dazzling white salt desert.
We will return to Uyuni.

Day 10: Salar de Uyuni/ La Paz

Continue discovering Salar de Uyuni in the off-road excursion. Admire the spectacular scenery while crossing red and blue lagoons during your navigation. Watch alpacas and wild llamas. In the afternoon return to La Paz

Day 11: La Paz /Cusco

Early morning flight to the seventh wonder of the world Cusco Perú. Free day for exploring the city.

Day 12: Cuzco/Patabamba/ Uchuyqosqo Valley trek!!

This crowd-avoidance day trek begins near Patabamba, a small Andean village of agricultural farmers, shepherds and weavers who preserve age-old traditions. When you start out, you’ll spot herds of llamas and alpacas as you head towards Qoricocha (3,800m/12,467ft), a high altitude lake, during your ascent to a scenic mountain pass (4,600m/15,092ft). Then, you’ll begin to descend, passing a small village with thatched-roof homes before reaching the Leon Punku ravine, following the stream to Huchuy Qosqo (3,200m/10,500ft). You’ll have the chance to explore this unique Inca archaeological site and enjoy lunch at the ruins with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valley.
After the lunch we continue our afternoon hike visiting different Inca monuments while passing fine Inca stairs before reaching Huchuy Qosqo where our team will be setting up our tents and preparing our dinner. Overnight at the camp

Day 13: Uchuyqosqo/ Ollantaytambo/ Aguas Calientes-Machupicchu

After to breakfast our private transport drives us to Ollantaytambo, where we will exploring the amazing fortre Ollantaytambo.
It is quite literally a living ancient town. In contrast to similar urban sites that were “abandoned” after the Spanish conquest, the town of Ollantaytambo has been continuously inhabited since its Inca construction. Water flows through original street canals just as it has for centuries. Some buildings have been modified and now appear colonial, but the design of Ollantaytambo remains at large unchanged. After to lunch we will board an afternoon train to Aguas Calientes- Machupicchu the experience a unique way to travel to Machu Picchu, exploring the Andean landscape like never before with wider and taller panoramic windows and an observation outdoor carriage including a bar. The only train in Peru with an entertainment app on board which will allow you to learn more about the train journey and the Inca civilization.

Enjoy our appetizing selection of cold and warm drinks, prepared using fruit juices and Andean herbs, and our delicious gourmet and organic delights made with products from the Sacred Valley.

Day 14: Machupicchu/ Cusco

Rise with the sun to walk through Machu Picchu in the early morning mist before the crowds arrive. You may opt for a hike to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), the entry point to the ruins from the Inca Trail, or trek up to Huayna Picchu, the high mountain that forms the backbone of the ruins. After your explorations, journey back to Cusco aboard the train, savoring incomparable views of the mountain scenery.

Day 15: Cusco/Rainbow Mountain

Lookout over these colourful Andean mountains striped with maroon, turquoise, lavender, and gold. The sediment, elevation, and proximity to the ocean create a landscape that has to be seen to be believed. Get started early to drive to the starting point of this challenging, yet rewarding full-day hike. Reaching 5,029m (16,500 ft) this is no walk in the park, but these unique mountains do not disappoint.

Day 16: Cusco/ Tambopata

Fly to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon Jungle.
After a brief stop in town to store large luggage, drive to the pier and travel by covered motorized boat to the jungle lodge. En route, see birds typical of the river or forest edge. The Tambopata Rainforest Area holds the world record for the most bird sightings in one area.
Local community members make up the majority of the lodge staff, including multilingual naturalist guides. Here you have the opportunity to learn from them not only about the area’s rich flora and fauna, but also about their extensive practical uses for medicinal plants and other forest plant resources, through traditional techniques for building, fishing, and hunting.

Day 17: Tambopata

Head out early to catch the jungle at its wildest (and coolest) and enjoy visits to oxbow lakes to learn about the jungle and its inhabitants. Be introduced to the area’s rich flora and fauna by expert naturalist guides, who can teach extensive uses for medicinal and other forest plant resources through traditional techniques. Be prepared to go early morning or evening to avoid the heat of midday. Enjoy a leisurely pace – the trip requires some walking, but nothing too strenuous.

Day 18: Puerto Maldonado/ Tambopata /Lima

Have a final delicious Amazonian breakfast before heading back towards the airport by motorized boat and van. Fly to Lima and opt for a final night out for dinner or Pisco Sours.

What we recommend that your bring :

  • A light day pack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek – prepare for a vast range of changes in temperature
  • Sandals or plastic slip on thongs are also good to give your feet a chance to breath in the evenings if you wish to carry them.
  • Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces, gloves, scarf and beanie/touk. Thermal clothing is also recommended, especially for sleeping
  • Sleeping bag (we can hire these to you)
  • Hat or cap to protect you from the sun, rain and cold
  • Sun block
  • After-sun cream or hydrating cream for face and body
  • Insect repellent – minimum recommended 20% DEET – although no malaria risk has been reported
  • Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, raw fruits, muesli, etc.
  • Non-disposable canteen (Nalgene type) and water for the first morning.
  • Your own medical kit with any special medications that you might require, paracetamol, second skin for blisters etc

  • Optionally: water- sterilizing tablets in case you pick up water from streams or rivers along the route. Otherwise, we provide filtered boiled water, which is safe to drink and has not reported any health problem so far

BOOKING THE INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU: Limits on the capacity of the Inca Trail mean that only 500 people a day are permitted to hike the trail. Therefore, in order to guarantee your place on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, you must provide us with a scanned copy of your passport and a non-refundable deposit. Your reservation will only be confirmed when we have your entrance ticket in our hands. If your passport number changes before you start the tour, you must relay this information to us or risk losing your booking. You must take your original passport with you on the trail.
